Registration FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about the Groundwork gathering:

Q: When is the deadline to register?

A:  Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:59pm ET.

Q: If I need to cancel my registration, can I receive a refund?

We are unable to accommodate refunds. However, if you have a scheduling conflict with one or more of the sessions in your track, recordings of most of the sessions (with the exception of the Make/Think/Share Studios) will be made available to all registered delegates after Groundwork in early 2022. If you have questions, please email clairewilmoth@nationalguild.org.

Q: I really want to attend the Creative Aging (or Human-Centered Practices, or Creative Youth Development) track, but I can’t attend any of the Monday Healing sessions—can I still register?

A: Access to all Monday General Assembly on Healing track sessions, including Opening Sessions and Make/Think/Share Studios, is included with registration—whether or not you may be able to attend these sessions. You are welcome to simply not attend Monday sessions.

Please note: Monday Opening Sessions will be recorded and registrants will have access to these recordings in early 2022, following studio editing. However, no Make/Think/Share Studios will be recorded, except for those in the CYD track.

Q: I want to attend a single day. How do I register for that?

A: For the sake of context, continuity, community building, and intentional learning design, we don’t encourage single day attendance. However, if you feel strongly, you can always register for Groundwork as well as the particular learning track that includes the session/s that you’d like to attend that day.

Q: Can I split a registration with a friend or colleague?

A: We request that each person who attends submits their own registration, because this helps us track our reach and potential impact as a simple measurement. We believe that cost should never be a barrier to anyone, so we’ve specifically included a pay-what-you-can option.

Q: Is there a way for me to register for or pay for a group?

A. You can pay for a group but each individual must complete their own registration form. If you or your organization would like to cover the cost of multiple people attending, please refer to the suggested pricing in the registration form to inform your payment amount. The individuals you are paying for should be informed that you are covering their costs and should complete their own registration form and enter “0” in the payment amount field. They also will have the option to indicate if an individual or organization is covering their payment. Please contact rangseykeo@nationalguild.org if you have questions about paying for a group.

Q: I registered and then lost the email with my Zoom links. What should I do?

A: Each morning, that day’s Zoom links will be re-sent in a reminder email. You can also reach out to us directly at programs@nationalguild.org, and please be sure to include “Zoom Link Request” in the subject line of your email.

Q: I already registered, but have since realized I’d like to add another track to my registration. How do I do this?

A: That’s great! Simply fill out a new registration form and sign up for the additional track(s) you wish to attend. (Note that your registration automatically includes all General Assembly on Healing offerings on Mondays, including Opening Sessions and Make/Share/Think Studio sessions.) Please remember that the form is pay-what-you-can, and you may always opt to pay less than the suggested amount.

Q: Will the sessions be recorded, and if so, who will have access to them and when are they likely to be available?

A: Recordings will be offered for all Healing Opening Sessions, and all Real Talk Salons presented in all other tracks the following days of the week—with the exception of breakout group discussions, should breakout group discussions be offered. Registrants will have access to these recordings in early 2022, following studio editing. Please note: No recordings will be made for any Make/Share/Think Studios except for the CYD track. These studio spaces are designed as interactive, creative, and reflective studio spaces for live attendees.

Q: I have a question that regards accessibility accommodations. Who should I contact to get it answered?

Q: I have a question that isn’t covered here. Who should I contact to get it answered?

A: If your question is specific to registration, please contact Claire Wilmoth at clairewilmoth@nationalguild.org. For all other questions please email programs@nationalguild.org. In either instance, please include the word “Groundwork” in the subject of your email.
