Dr. Roque Diaz, PhD
Interim Managing Director
Dr. Roque Diaz is an executive leader, strategist, musician, educator, and consultant with more than 20 years of experience across the arts, education, and nonprofit sectors. He currently serves as Interim Managing Director of the National Guild for Community Arts Education, where he is leading the Guild through a period of organizational stabilization and building connections with the field. His work includes strengthening governance and financial sustainability, rebuilding membership and partnerships, developing national programming and regional convenings, and creating new opportunities for artists, educators, organizations, and leaders to connect, learn, and shape the Guild’s next chapter.
Dr. Diaz’s leadership is grounded in his ongoing work as a musician and educator and a career spanning performance, teaching, arts education, and organizational leadership. He previously spent seven years at MacPhail Center for Music as Founding Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Director of School Partnerships. Dr. Diaz holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota focused on equity in music education and is a 2020 Bush Foundation Fellow. Recognized by Musical America and the OnCon Icon Awards, he also serves on the boards of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals and American Composers Forum. Across his work, Dr. Diaz brings the perspectives of artist, educator, strategist, and executive to building stronger, more equitable, connected, and sustainable organizations and communities.

Caitlin Skinner
Fund Development Consultant
Caitlin Skinner is the Principal Consultant at Marlo Writing and Research, a fund development consulting practice serving nonprofits and social impact organizations. She currently serves as the development lead on the Guild’s transition team, where she and fellow team members have relaunched the organization’s membership and individual giving programs, strengthened foundation partnerships, secured lead sponsorship commitments for the FY27 Regional Convenings series, and built the fundraising infrastructure supporting the Guild’s stabilization and growth.
With roughly a decade of experience in economic equity work, Caitlin spent seven years at Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), helping clients to raise $60 million over a period of seven years. Most recently, Caitlin led fund development as Advancement Director at the Latino Economic Development Center. She brings a hands-on, systems-minded approach to development, from donor strategy and board training to grant writing and campaign communications. Caitlin is based in Minneapolis, MN.

Norma Núñez-Ruch
Operations Consultant
Norma Núñez-Ruch is a Venezuelan-born arts administrator and consultant with more than 20 years of experience across cultural management, nonprofit operations, arts education, and community-based programming. Her work focuses on strengthening the organizations, systems, and partnerships that make meaningful arts experiences possible.
She currently serves as a consultant to the National Guild for Community Arts Education, supporting organizational operations, membership and program development, systems infrastructure, and national and regional initiatives during a period of organizational transition and growth. Norma also serves as Director of Operations at Guarneri Hall NFP and Operations Consultant at Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center in Chicago, and is a board member of Hearing in Color.
Her career has included work with Fundamusical Simón Bolívar, the Allentown Symphony Association, and Ravinia Festival. A former El Sistema violist, she brings an artist’s perspective to her work alongside experience in organizational strategy, administration, and community engagement.
Norma holds a B.A. in International Studies and an M.A. in Cultural Management. She was the first Venezuelan Ford Motor Company International Fellow at the 92nd Street Y, a participant of the Global Leaders Program as well as several professional development and enrichment opportunities.
