A New Chapter Coming Soon
For nearly 90 years, the National Guild for Community Arts Education has brought together people and organizations committed to ensuring that arts learning remains accessible, relevant, and transformative in communities across the country.
As the field continues to evolve, so does the Guild.
Over the past several months, we have been listening closely to teaching artists, arts administrators, organizational leaders, funders, partners, and community members. Through these conversations, one theme has emerged consistently: people are seeking meaningful connection, practical support, and opportunities to learn alongside others navigating similar challenges and opportunities.
In response, the Guild is reimagining its membership model to better reflect the needs of today’s community arts education field.
Our goal is simple: to create a membership experience that is easier to understand, more accessible to participate in, and more deeply connected to the people and organizations who make this work possible.
The new model will be built around:
- Meaningful peer connection through regional and practice-based networks
- Relevant professional learning and leadership development opportunities
- Access to resources, tools, and field-informed knowledge
- Stronger pathways for collaboration across disciplines, communities, and regions
- A shared commitment to advancing community arts education nationwide
We look forward to sharing more details in the coming weeks and officially launching the next chapter of Guild membership in Summer 2026.
Until then, we invite you to stay connected, participate in upcoming programs, and help shape the future of this community with us.
