Guild Essentials Series.- Navigating the Tension Between Money & Mission

Many arts leaders enter this work to advance the mission—then quickly discover they are also responsible for running complex organizations, often without dedicated finance infrastructure. This session explores practical frameworks for understanding surpluses, operating and planned deficits, and strengthening financial conversations with boards and leadership teams. Participants will leave with tools for clearer financial storytelling, stronger governance dialogue, and more confident decision-making in support of mission sustainability.
