Alumni Network

The CAELI Alumni Network focuses on participant-centered learning, mentorship, and personal and professional growth. It provides opportunities for past CAELI participants to continue to develop as leaders of their organizations, their communities, and the field of arts education. The program engages alumni as peer-mentors and resources.

The Alumni Network's goals are to:

  • Enable CAELI alumni to continue to develop as leaders of their organizations, their communities, and the field of arts education
  • Build a network of emerging leaders who can share tools and provide support for one another
  • Strengthen the Guild’s connections with the people and organizations it serves, expanding its ability to address critical issues

Network Activities

Below is an overview of current Alumni Network activities. Through these programs, alumni have access to a vibrant learning community and benefit from opportunities to further their leadership development.

CAELI Conversation Circles

Throughout the year, the Guild hosts facilitated, web-based peer discussion groups. These intimate conversations are led by a core member of the CAELI faculty or a CAELI alumnus. Participants connect via video for two, one-and-a-half hour structured conversations. Past topics have included revisiting core values and finding hope.

CAELI Connect

CAELI Connect offers web-based, alumni-led video chats specific to each alumni class. This is an opportunity for alumni to stay connected by class and continue to develop their facilitation skills. Participants will also discuss topics relevant to their specific class. Past topics have included managing difficult conversations, trust building, and managing conflict.

Annual Alumni Retreat

Offered annually, this full-day retreat is facilitated by CAELI faculty and features opportunities for skill-building, networking, and inspiration.

Regional Events

Throughout the year, there are formal and informal opportunities for alumni to connect in-person. These opportunities include trainings with leadership experts, peer networking meetings, and social events.
