Network Mission

The Small Schools Network is designed to support the work of arts education organizations with budget sizes below $750,000. It creates a forum in which administrators across the country can share ideas, provide support, and act as sounding boards for one another.

Want to stay connected to the Small Schools Network? Members can sign in to the member portal and select the Small Schools Network in their User Profile. Affiliated Network members will receive invites to all in-person and online events, leadership opportunities within the Network, access to all Network resources, and more.

Nonmembers can enter their email below and receive updates on Network activities as well as select event invites. To fully participate in the Small Schools Network, join the Guild as a Full member

 

 

Ambassador

Leo Van Asten

Verona, WI

Leo Van Asten was most recently the executive director at Rhapsody Arts Center. In 1997, Leo enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where he began his formal music training. Leo began teaching in 1998 through the Conservatory for Creative Expression at UWSP. In the 18 years since, he has taught many ages and abilities and has seen countless students blossom and even go on to study music in college. In addition to a love for teaching, Leo has a love for learning. He constantly seeks out new areas to study, or to deepen existing knowledge.

  • Leveraging Guild Resources as a Small Budget Organization: The Small Schools Network and Guild Staff discussed how, as a Guild member organization with a smaller budget size, you can take full advantage of the Guild’s online resources.
