Artists Working in Education (AWE) provides youth, families, donors, teachers, and artists in Milwaukee with art enrichment programs that advance learning and enhance human potential. AWE artists guide communities through the process of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Meaningful arts programming helps youth develop new ways of seeing the world, enhanced inquisitiveness, creativity, flexibility, imagination, and confidence.
Internally, AWE promotes racial equity by purposefully recruiting, hiring, and training a workforce that represents the diversity of our priority communities.
