Join us for a virtual gathering for community arts practitioners to embody radical reinvention and imagination as we process the pandemic. Through creative artmaking, learning and connection, we will tend to ourselves, our collectives, and our vision of a transformed society.
You get to choose your journey! Each week will kick off with a General Assembly session on a different dimension of healing, featuring storytellers and practices from across the country. We then invite you to join us for one of our learning tracks each week: Creative Aging (Tuesdays), Human-Centered Leadership and Management Practices (Wednesdays), and/or Creative Youth Development (Thursdays).
This unique gathering will center healing and wellness in the context of community arts education, as a pathway towards personal, interpersonal, and system change. We must get right with ourselves before we can work with each other to reimagine and create a more just future. To that end, Groundwork will begin with Healing for Self (Week 1), and then move into Healing for Collective (Week 2), and Healing for Movement Building (Week 3).
We are using a privilege-based sliding scale pricing model that includes a “pay what you can” and a “solidarity donation” option. We strive to make our programs accessible to everyone regardless of their financial resources and circumstances. We also offer the opportunity, through a solidarity donation, to redistribute wealth towards someone in our community that would not otherwise be able to access services.
We suggest that Guild members pay $25 per track, and nonmembers pay $50 per track (as a reminder, Guild membership is pay-what-you-can).
