In early 2020, Community Conversations arose out of a desire to collectively problem-solve for the many unprecedented realities of the pandemic. Collectively, as we continue to grapple with our new realities and “re-emerging”—or not—we’d like to continue convening to share our quandaries, concerns, and recommendations for one another.

These drop-in spaces are free and welcome to all.

Join us this spring for our *new* All Welcome Community Conversations. These casual events will run from April to June and are open to all those interested in connecting with the larger community arts education field from across the country and within other artistic disciplines— Guild membership is not required. Feel free to register even if you aren't able to attend all three dates.

These All Welcome Community Conversations take place on the fourth Thursday of each month, as follows:

  • Thursday, April 28 from 4-5 PM Eastern
  • Thursday, May 26 from 4-5 PM Eastern 
  • Thursday, June 23 from 4-5 PM Eastern

Get support working from others working in community arts education. We’re all figuring things out together, and sometimes sharing what we’ve tried (and how it went) makes all the difference. Each Community Conversation is facilitated by a Guild staff member, in alignment with our Community Agreements. The conversations are not recorded, and the facilitator takes light notes in order to share key points with attendees afterwards, as well as to inform the Guild’s work so we can better respond to what you’re experiencing on the ground. It’s also a chance for Guild staff to connect with you, and you with us!
