National Guild's Open Letter to the NEA

The National Guild has presented an Open Letter to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) on behalf of our 400+ members, Board of Directors, and diverse constituency of staff, teaching artists, parents, students and volunteers. The letter outlines some of the specific interests and needs of community arts education providers and asks the NEA to partner with us to ensure high quality arts education is accessible to all Americans throughout their lifetimes.

Guild Signs National Arts Healthcare Statement

On August 12, 2009, the National Guild joined 19 other national arts organizations in signing a healthcare reform statement that was sent to members of Congress and the press. The statement calls on Congress to pass a healthcare reform bill that delivers high quality and affordable healthcare to non-profit arts organizations and individual artists. Arts Policy Recommendations for the New Administration

The National Guild has signed on with other leading arts organizations to present Arts Policy in the New Administration, recommendations to the Office of Presidential Transition.

Economic Recovery and the Arts
Americans for the Arts officially proposed Nine Recommendations for Economic Recovery & the Arts to help nonprofit and governmental arts groups as well as individual artists during this economic downturn.
