Application Steps

Applications will be evaluated and ranked by staff of the National Guild and Lifetime Arts. Applications are due on September 19, 2017. Decisions will be made by October 4. You must confirm your participation by October 11 and complete your registration for the Catalyzing Creative Aging Institute by November 1.

Applicants are not expected to have designed a new creative aging program prior to applying (this is the focus of the technical assistance Lifetime Arts will provide); rather we are interested in your commitment to serving older adults, your capacity to launch and sustain a successful program, and your ability to conduct evaluation.

Follow these steps to apply:
1. Your organization must be a full member of the National Guild to apply. Click here for more information on how to apply for Guild membership. Member applications must be received by September 12.

2. Complete the Catalyzing Creative Aging program application by September 19.

3. By September 19, you must also register for the Catalyzing Creative Aging Preconference Institute (Note: this includes follow-up workshop and coaching on November 16). You may also register for to attend the Conference for Community Arts Education on November 17 – 18. When finalizing the registration, select “Check” as your payment option. On the following page you will be assigned a Confirmation Number—save this Confirmation Number. Do not pay for registration until you have been notified about your program application.

4. You will be notified about your program application by October 4. If accepted into the program you must confirm your participation and complete your conference registration by October 11. You will need the Confirmation Number to complete your conference registration. You can reselect any payment method at this point as well (payment required only for any activities on November 17 – 18; registration for November 15 – 16 will be waived).
