Make a Nomination

Each year the National Guild recognizes individuals at Guild member organizations who have provided long-standing, exceptional service to the community arts education field with the Milestone Certificate of Appreciation. Help us identify community arts education leaders deserving of this special recognition by making a nomination. Milestone Certificates are awarded each year to executive directors or divisional directors who have demonstrated sustained leadership over a period of 20 years or longer. Nominees must be representatives at Guild member organizations.

This year,  Milestone Certificates of Appreciation will be presented during the National Guild's keynote sessions at the Conference for Community Arts Education on Thursday and Friday, November 16 and 17. Nominees do not have to be present at the Annual Meeting to receive recognition. Milestone recipients also will be recognized on our website, Member E-Bulletin, and in our quarterly newsletter, GuildNotes.

Nominations can be made by submitting a letter of nomination and bio here. Letters of nomination should identify the nominee's long-term (20+ years) leadership role within the field and their commitment to supporting and advancing community arts education. Please highlight activities throughout the nominee's career as well as past service to the National Guild if relevant. The nominee's current bio must be included with the nomination letter. Headshots are encouraged. Current Guild trustees are not eligible.

Deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Sept. 22, 2017. Nominees will be notified by October 5. We look forward to receiving your nominations!
