Young Playwrights’ Theater (YPT), the only professional theater in Washington, DC dedicated entirely to arts education, will publish a book this fall featuring 36 of the best student plays written over 17 years of their award-winning In-School Playwriting Program, which has served over ten thousand 3rd to 12th grade students in the Washington, DC region since 1995. The book will also feature sample lesson plans and and worksheets from the twelve-week, standards-based program.

About Young Playwrights' Theater

Young Playwrights' Theater (YPT) is the only professional theater in Washington, DC dedicated entirely to arts education. Founded in 1995 by award-winning playwright Karen Zacarías, YPT teaches students throughout the DC metro area to express themselves clearly and creatively through the art of playwriting.
