New York, NY

Last week, Third Street Music School Settlement celebrated their 120th birthday with a series of parties for their community. Third Street is the oldest community music school in the nation, and since its inception has helped establish community arts education throughout the United States. The school was built around the philosophy that everyone should have access to an excellent arts education.

“We are proud of our history and heritage,” says Valerie Lewis, Third Street’s executive director. “Third Street is a living part of New York City. This is a celebration 120 years of service, excellence and joy, and also a salute to our growth within this incredible community.”
