As part of his Eagle Scout project for Boy Scout Troop 8 in Montclair, NJ, Scott Hermo turned his affection for music into an opportunity to help others enjoy the many wonders of instrumental music. This year Scott collected, repaired, cleaned, and donated fifteen musical instruments to Newark School of the Arts.

"Once I researched and found the Newark School of the Arts, I knew that it would be the organization I wanted to benefit and support," Scott said. "I could not have chosen a better school. It is full of great and caring faculty and staff working towards the goal of educating students of all ages in the arts."

The Guild is grateful to generous individuals like Scott all over the country who support arts education and help expand access to the arts.
