Oct 08, 2014

On October 15, KID smART will make their arts integrated emotional literacy curriculum accessible to teachers for free online at The four unit series, With Feeling, was developed for use by teachers of children in kindergarten through fourth grades and is adaptable across a broad range of learning environments.

The curriculum will be appropriate for use in all classrooms, but will focus on work with children with emotional disorders and/or repeated referrals for behavioral incidents. This arts integrated curriculum provides teachers strategies and techniques for teaching and developing their students' social/emotional skills through the visual and theatre arts.
With Feeling was developed by KID smART and artist/educator Sophie Johnson with funding from the Institute of Mental Hygiene and the Edward Wisner Fund and with support from Andrew H. Wilson Charter School.
