Lynne Silverstein of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Partners in Education program has completed an evaluation report on student and teacher impact of KID smART’s art integrated programming in New Orleans public schools for 2011-2012. The report is now available, and demonstrates substantial contributions to student learning and teacher efficiency.

Over the academic years 2013-2015, KID smART (New Orleans, LA) will implement an intensive and comprehensive project to bring three of its partner schools to model arts integration school status. The project serves to both strengthen the schools' abilities to sustain arts integration best practices and to provide concrete data that will document the transformative power of the arts in children's learning and in the formation of traits and habits that lead to success in life and work. The National Guild reported on this program in May 2012.
