On Thursday, July 21st, members of the Harmony Project's YOLA Orchestra performed live on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on NBC.  The students provided backup music for singers Rickey Minor (the music director of the "Tonight Show"), Sharon Jones, and Grace Potter.  On Sunday, July 24th, members of the YOLA Orchestra went on to perform with Minor, Stevie Wonder, and other musical superstars at the Hollywood Bowl.

YOLA EXPO Center Youth Orchestra is a partnership between Harmony Project, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and EXPO Center, a City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks facility.  With this partnership, Harmony Project has expanded its quality programming with additional artistic direction from the Los Angeles Philharmonic via conductor Bruce Kiesling and LA Phil Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, who has conducted these studetns in Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.
