The Abrons Art Center, founded in 1915, is celebrating it's centennial year! They're celebrating on February 12 with a special presentation of The Civilians' Pretty Flithy, followed by a Birthday Bash.

Since its founding by Lilian Wald, Henry Street Settlement has maintained a steadfast commitment to her belief that the arts play an integral role in everyday life. The School is housed at the Abrons Arts Center which provides a single home for all of the arts programs. Classes and workshops are designed to enable individuals and families to develop creatively a means of self-expression and communication through the arts. The Abrons Arts Center provides sequential, curriculum based pre-professional private and ensemble instruction in various musical instruments and dance forms for children and young people.  Professional performances in music, dance, opera and theatre are offered throughout the year. Many take place in the historical national landmark Harry De Jur Playhouse.
