The Enchanted Circle Theater has announced the launch of their Institute for Arts Integration, presented in association with the Collaborative for Educational Services and the Northampton, Springfield, and Holyoke Public Schools.

This comprehensive, evidence-based program is designed to train teachers in the pedagogy of arts integration as a method for engaging students in meaningful and memorable learning.

Program objectives and outcomes include:
  • Teachers will learn arts integration techniques that will engage their students in content learning, boost their students' creative and critical thinking skills, and enhance their students' self-awareness and self-confidence.
  • Each teacher will develop an arts integrated classroom curriculum project on a standards-based theme that they will implement in their classroom.
  • Each teacher will develop a set of assessment tools to measure student engagement, learning, and creativity.
