The Guild staff would like our members to know that director of membership development and engagement Robyne Walker Murphy will be leaving the National Guild, having accepted the position of director of the cultural access program at Cool Culture. Her last day will be Friday, April 22. Upon informing the staff of her plans, Robyne said, “It has truly been an honor and a joy to serve this amazing group of arts education leaders. The Guild is poised for continued growth and I wish the staff and its members much success!”

For the past year, Robyne has played an integral role in growing and diversifying our membership, increasing opportunities for members to collaborate, and leveraging the expertise of current and future leaders within the Guild. She led the launch and implementation of the Guild’s new Ambassador Program and ALAANA Network, and has made tremendous contributions to the Guild’s programs and services overall. While we are sad to say goodbye, we celebrate Robyne's many contributions to the Guild and anticipate future collaborations with her in her new role!

With her departure we will take the opportunity to evaluate membership development and engagement in general, adjusting the scope of the position if necessary, before proceeding with recruitment. In the interim, Drew Malmuth, our program coordinator, will manage the Ambassador Program and support the Chapters. Claire Wilmoth, our member services and data coordinator, will continue to manage membership inquiries. And, as always, the rest of the Guild staff is available to assist or answer any questions you may have.
