The Community Arts Education Leadership Institute (CAELI) is regarded by past participants as one of the most beneficial and transformative professional development opportunities of their careers. In 2015 the Guild is expanding this leadership development program, providing CAELI's 125 alumni continued opportunities for personal and professional growth.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the CAELI Alumni Network! The Network was created in response to a survey conducted in Fall 2014 in which 83% of CAELI alumni expressed strong interest in further leadership development and support.

The goals of the CAELI Alumni Network are to:

  1. Enable alumni to continue to develop as effective leaders of their organizations, communities, and the field of arts education;
  2. Build a network of emerging leaders who can share creative ideas and useful practices and provide counsel and support for one another; and
  3. Strengthen the Guild’s connections with the people and organizations it serves, expanding its ability to identify and effectively address critical issues.

CAELI Alumni Network activities will kick off this July and will include a summer and a fall series of structured, peer discussion groups held via video chat with CAELI faculty members Ronnie Brooks and Margie Reese; an online forum that enables alumni to ask questions and share information and advice with one another and CAELI faculty; a pre-conference institute and workshop during the 2015 Conference for Community Arts Education (Nov. 11-14, Philadelphia); and geographic gatherings around the country.
