Policy and programming for and about young people is stronger when young people are included in the planning process. But as obvious as that may seem, co-designing next generation systems with young people has not been standard practice. Until now. Inspired by the multi-city Create Justice conference, key organizers in the San Francisco Bay Area have forged exemplary partnerships between adults and teens at four youth centered organizations: Youth Speaks, Destiny Arts Center, Berkeley High School's CAS program, and YBCA's Youth Fellows.

Join us on Wednesday, November 15 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco for an illuminating overview of what co-designed systems look like in principle, and participate in a cross-generational workshop to experience what this modality feels like in practice.

This event will be facilitated by youth and adult program leaders in collaboration with Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Chief of Program and Pedagogy, and Rebeka Rodriguez, Civic Engagement Manager, both of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
