Call for Nominations: Milestone Certificate of Appreciation

« Back

Aug 13, 2013

Now in its second year, the National Guild's Milestone program recognizes individuals who have provided long-standing, exceptional service to the community arts education field. At our Annual Meeting (Nov.1) at the 76th annual Conference for Community Arts Education, Certificates of Appreciation will be awarded to those who have demonstrated sustained leadership over a period of 20 years or longer. This program is designed to recognize executive directors and divisional school directors at Guild member organizations.

Nominations for the Milestones Certificate of Appreciation can be made by anyone and are made by emailing a letter of nomination to the National Guild's member engagement coordinator, Ari Schrier, by Monday, September 30, 2013. Letters of nomination should identify the nominee's long-term commitment to supporting and advancing community arts education, highlighting relevant activities and leadership positions throughout the nominee's career. The nominee's current bio must be included with the nomination letter. Resumes are encouraged if applicable.
Milestone Certificates of Appreciation will be presented during the National Guild's Annual Meeting on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Fairmont Chicago. Nominees do not have to be present at the Annual Meeting to receive recognition. Certificate recipients also will be recognized on the National Guild's website, Member E-Bulletin, and in our quarterly newsletter, GuildNotes.
