Ensuring that teaching artists are well prepared and supported is of core importance for any organization providing quality arts instruction.

Participate in the Teaching Artist Development Track, facilitated by Eric Booth, at the 2014 Conference for Community Arts Education (Nov. 19 - 22, Los Angeles) to find out what efforts are underway, across the United States and around the globe, to energize and elevate the field of teaching artistry. During the course of the track, you'll also have the rare opportunity to roll up your sleeves and accomplish significant work to advance teaching artistry as a profession. Register for the conference by Sept. 30 for the best rates!
Sessions in this track include:
Encourage your teaching artists to participate!
We're now offering Teaching Artist Audit Day Passes for $50.
We recognize the critical role professional teaching artists play in ensuring equitable access to arts education in our communities and understand that resources are limited for many. The Teaching Artist Audit Day Pass program for the 2014 Conference provides one-day access to plenaries and workshops for full-time teaching artists. Passes are only available for the main conference (Nov. 20 - 22) and pass holders are expected to participate in the Teaching Artist Development Track on the day(s) that they attend.
Your organization may order up to three passes per day at $50 each. For eligibility requirements and more information, download an order form (PDF). Passes are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis until October 30, 2014. Teaching artists not affiliated with an organization should contact the National Guild at 212-268-3337 ext. 16 for details.
By offering Teaching Artist Audit Day Passes at a deeply discounted rate, we hope to encourage professional teaching artists to participate in this year's conference, through which they can gain new skills and relationships to advance their practice. We also believe teaching artists will make important contributions to the dialogue and working groups at this year's conference.
