Dear Members,

Here at the Guild we have a lot to be thankful for. Our offices are located just a few blocks north of the part of Manhattan most severely affected by Hurricane Sandy. The Guild staff live in upper Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, and New Jersey but all are safe (though a few are still in the dark). We are lucky. And we're happy to say, the Guild is up and running again.

We hope that you are safe and dry. For many of you, this storm threatened both your home and your place of work. Before we head to Dallas for our 75th annual Conference for Community Arts Education on November 14th, we encourage those of you whose organizations have been most affected by the storm to reach out to us so that we may determine how best to offer you our help and support.

You may contact Lindsey Cosgrove at (212) 268-3337 x19 or lindseycosgrove@nationalguild.org.

At times like these, the arts have the power to comfort and to heal. We are proud of the vital contribution you make to your community, in fair weather and in storms, and want you to know that we are here to help.

All the best,

Jonathan Herman
Executive Director
