Dec 04, 2014

Teaching Artists Guild is hosting a web-based series of conversations (via Google Hangouts on Air) aimed to promote the visibility and impact of teaching artists in our communities.

The most recent Teaching Artist Hangout on December 4 focused on sharing outcomes and reflections from the Teaching Artist Development Track at the National Guild's 2014 Conference for Community Arts Education in Los Angeles (Nov. 19-22). During the conference, approximately 100 teaching artists and allies came together to discuss and collaborate on “Developing the Field of Teaching Artistry” at the national level. Leaders in our field from all over the country shared the work they have been doing on four unique and innovative projects in the works designed to move our field forward.  Then, they invited conference participants to ask questions, provide feedback, test prototypes, and become part of the collective effort to bring these projects to the next level. Watch recording.
