« Back

Sep 23, 2011

Four Americans for the Arts Leadership Councils - the Arts Education Council, Emerging Leader Council, Private Sector Council, and the Public Art Network Council - are currently seeking nominations for new council members to serve three-year terms from January 1, 2012 through December 30, 2014.  Nominations close on October 7, 2011.

A panel comprised of Americans for the Arts staff and current council members will select final candidates from the nominees, and Americans for the Arts members will vote to determine the incoming members. Voting opens October 21.  Only members of Americans for the Arts can vote.

About Americans for the Arts Advisory Councils

Americans for the Arts needs, first and foremost, the councils to be advising staff on programs and services that will build a deeper connection to the field and the network membership.  This gives council members the opportunity to be seen as national leaders and provides an opporunity to give back to the field by connecting the national work of Americans for the Arts to the local level.

The advirsory council will include a cross section of members representing a diverse range of age, gender, ethnicity, geographical area, and level of experience in the field.
