NewAud, a collective of music organizations and ensembles from 17 European countries, recently launched a website featuring resources and tools to help ensemble directors engage new audiences. The resources came out of a two year project, entitled New Music: New Audiences, that allowed ensembles to explore new concert formats that are in tune with contemporary viewership.

The website allows users to engage with the information generated by project participants: concert evaluations, audience research, reccomendations for improving concert experience, marketing tools, and examples of how to prepare and implement audience research. The themes of materials featured on the webiste include:

  • Mixing art forms
  • Exploring venues and concert formats
  • Experiencing music
  • How music and audience meet
  • Online with your audience
  • Engaging young people
  • Children meet music
