The Board of Directors at CraftWorks at Cool Spring (Charles Town, WV) are hoping to gift the organization’s property—including a 2,000 sq ft main building, two additional buildings, nature trails, art installations, and more—to a nonprofit that “has a strong track record, can prove it is financially sustainable in the long term, and has an exciting plan for its use.”

Before closing in 2015, CraftWorks used its buildings and surrounding nature preserve to provide classes in fine arts, American craft, music, writing, photography, nature study, and sustainable living. Rather than sell the property, the Board is hopeful that their gift will allow a future tenant to provide accessible, long-lasting resources to the community.

More information on the property and instructions on how to apply are available at the CraftWorks website. For questions, or to schedule a site visit, contact Linda Case at lindacase@frontiernet.net.
