The Center for Arts Education (New York, NY) has named Lisa Robb as its new executive director. Since 2011, Robb has led the New York State Council on the Arts, managing over $40 million in grants during her tenure. At Center for Arts Education, Robb will promote arts education in New York City, working with local government and school officials to improve access to the arts.

According to the New York Times, Robb was attracted to the "unique service" that the center provides. "They do research, they advocate, they do model programs–it's a very interesting shop," she said in an interview. Before heading NYSCA, Robb worked at arts institutions such as the Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Pelham Art Center.
