The Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) survey, through partnerships with the NAMM Foundation and the Institute for Educational Research and Public Service at the University of Kansas, will be available to schools and communities seeking recognition for their school music programs for the 14th consecutive year. The Best Community designation advances community awareness about the value and importance of music for all students and helps community members uphold support and commitment to music and arts education for all children. The National Guild is an advising organization for this program.

The Best Communities survey will kick off during the November 8 SupportMusic Coalition Teleconference and will run through Friday, January 18, 2013. The announcement of the BCME roster will be March 18, 2013 with planned community announcements and celebrations.

You can submit your community starting November 8 by following the directions listed on the NAMM website.
