The Arts Education Partnership (AEP), a policy center within Education Commission of the States, is now accepting session proposals for the 2016 AEP National Forum: The Arts Leading the Way to Student Success. The forum will convene in Denver, Colorado, October 5-7, 2016 to explore arts centered solutions as states across the country implement higher learning expectations aimed at ensuring America’s young people leave high school ready for college, careers, and citizenship.

The Forum will focus on how the arts can address the four main priority areas outlined in The Arts Leading the Way to Student Success: A 2020 Action Agenda for Advancing the Arts in Education. Those include:

  • Raise student achievement and success
  • Support effective educators and school leaders
  • Transform the teaching and learning environment
  • Build leadership capacity and knowledge

The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, June 17 at 5:00PM EST. You can learn more and propose a session on the ECS website.
